These are modernised versions of the nymphs shown in “The Book of the Rough
Stream Nymph”, by W. H. Lawrie.
Lawrie stated that his nymphs were based on Skues nymphs, although it is obvious
that he modified them considerably, for example, he added a back (a thin strip
on top of the body) and trimmed the hackle, top and bottom. I decided to simplify
the patterns, by dropping these additions.
They are basically Skues type nymphs, or if you prefer ‘Flymphs’.
